The people we call Frontliners are activists that play a key role in our inside-out approach. Plus: we are convinced that we accomplish so much more when we act together the fight for emancipation, social acceptance and equal rights. We believe that this power from within ultimately has a stronger effect than a top down approach. LGBTQ Allyship builds power among LGBTQ communities and allies in Washington State to work towards economic, racial, and gender justice. ROOTS Young Adult Shelter builds community and fosters dignity through access to essential services and a safe place to sleep for young adults (18 – 25) experiencing homelessness. Together, we combat the systemic violence, persecution and discrimination that LGBTIQ people face around the world. Since 1990, OutRight Action International has worked alongside LGBTIQ activists and organizations, diplomats and policymakers, and other key partners to advance community-focused solutions to create lasting legal and social transformation. Gender Justice League’s mission is to empower all people to eliminate discrimination and prejudice based on sex, gender identity, gender expression, and sexual orientation in Washington State, and to ensure that trans and gender diverse people can live their lives safely, true to themselves, and free from discrimination.ĭiversity Alliance of the Puget Sound (DAPS) is a Non Profit Organization that works to support 18+ Transgender, Non-Binary, Gender Non Conforming, Genderfluid, Gender Diverse, Intersex, Two-Spirit, Agender and Questioning individuals through direct service such as support groups, advocacy, and financial aid. United Territories of Pacific Islanders Alliance (UTOPIA) is a queer and trans people of color-led, grassroots organization born out of the struggles, challenges, strength, and resilience of the Queer and Trans Pacific Islander (QTPI – “Q-T-pie”) community in South King County. This network is led by Trans people of color and advances the lives of Trans Women, Femmes, Two-Spirit and people of color living in Washington State.Įntre Hermanos came into being by the initiative of a group of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender Latinos/as that saw the need for social, educational, and health support services in their community in the spring of 1991. As a non-profit organization, sponsorship and donations are used to offset expenses required to produce the year-round celebrations. We coordinate and promote LGBTQIA+ pride events in the Seattle area-celebrating the present, envisioning the future and honoring the past.
